Today's Drop: Neo-Wars Just Got Loud
Fresh card art, a real AI opponent, Creature Events that finally make sense, an Event Bus so you can actually track the chaos - and a play screen that feels like a fight, not a spreadsheet.

Okay. Deep breath. Today Neo-London got a full-day upgrade pass, and it is the kind of update where you boot a match and go "wait… this feels different." In a good way. In a "I want another game right now" way.
If you are new here: Neo-Wars is a cyberpunk syndicate war. You pick a faction, drop an Overlord, build an economy, throw creatures and Events at people, and try to delete rival bosses before they delete you. Today we made that war clearer, prettier, smarter, and way more readable mid-fight.

Board overview after today's UI pass - your side, enemy side, hand, and stage chrome all readable at a glance.
1. The board finally looks like a war table
We ripped a lot of the play screen apart and rebuilt how you actually live inside a match. Hand targeting is cleaner. Ability controls make more sense. Fortified units get a visible halo so you can spot "this thing is dug in" without squinting. The whole vibe is less "admin panel," more "I am about to ruin someone's district."

2. Event Bus = your match black box recorder
Ever play a turn, blink, and forget who drained what Influence three actions ago? Yeah. Us too. So we shipped an Event Bus - a live feed of the stuff that actually mattered: economy swings, board hits, abilities, combat, Events, stage changes.
Think of it like a match timeline. Not vibes. Receipts. Open it when the fight gets messy and rewind the chaos in plain language.

3. "Creature Events" (the rename that unlocks brains)
We renamed Confrontation Events to Creature Events. Same energy, way clearer job title: these are the one-shot plays you stick on a creature, then fire when the fight window opens.
During Confrontation / Counter you now flow through a real sequence: Faction Event from hand → initiate delegated Creature Events → Champion abilities → then attacks and raids. It reads like a fight plan, not a mystery ritual.

4. Combat toys unlocked: pierce, ghosts, chrome, Champions
Abilities actually feel like weapons now. You can stack stuff like shield pierce (hello, ignore that smug shield stack) and untargetable ghost nonsense that makes people rage-click empty air. Cyber-Mods got real effect wiring. Champions got a dedicated ability moment in the Confrontation flow - use the power, then that Champion recovers. Big swing, big cost. Exactly how it should feel.

5. AI is in the building
Hotseat is cool. Hotseat alone at 1 a.m. is also lonely. Today we wired an AI Director so you can mark players as AI-controlled and let the machine cook: deploy, crew buildings, smash Overlords, push stages. It is heuristic, not a chess grandmaster - but it is already good enough to practice decks, test greed lines, and get punched by a bot that wants your Overlord dead.

6. Fresh paint on half the underground
Huge card-art drop. Events and Cyber-Mods across the factions got new faces - Ambush, Chrono Shift, Zero-Day Exploit, Ramming Speed, Neural Lullaby, DDOS Protocol, the whole neon gallery. Same cards, suddenly they look like they belong on a collector's table instead of a spreadsheet cell.

7. Decks got leaner (Incidents out)
We yanked Incident cards out of the faction JSON piles. Less random "wait what just auto-resolved?" clutter, more intentional deck identity. Your core creatures, buildings, Events, and Cyber-Mods stay in the spotlight.
8. Empty deck? Pay Influence. Re-stack. Keep cooking.
When Deck hits zero, you are not soft-locked into sad draws forever. You can re-stack discarded cards back into the deck by spending Influence. First time is cheaper. Every later re-stack climbs. Late-game becomes a resource decision: burn Influence to keep drawing gas, or hold Influence for Events and Black Market plays. That tension is delicious.

9. Overlords print money differently now
Overlords matter harder on the economy axis - Capital / Political / Production flavors actually shove your starting pools and income boosts around. Pick the boss that matches how you want to print money (or Influence, or chrome cash). Your Overlord is not just a health bar. It is your economic doctrine.

What you should do tonight
- Queue a match with one AI seat and beat it up for warmups.
- Open the Event Bus the first time a turn gets noisy - train your brain on the feed.
- Try a Creature Event line into Champion ability into attack. Feel the new Confrontation rhythm.
- Stare at the new card art. Yes, that counts as research.
Neo-London did not get quieter today. It got sharper. Come take a district before the bots do.
See you in the skyline.
